A measurement of the inelastic proton-proton cross section at s=13 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC has been presented. An inelastic cross section of 67.5±0.8(syst)±1.6(lumi) mb is obtained for ξ=M2/s>106 (corresponding to M>13 GeV), with M the larger of MX and MY, where MX and MY are the masses of the diffractive dissociation systems with negative and positive pseudorapidities, respectively. In addition, an inelastic cross section of 68.6±0.5(syst)±1.6(lumi) mb is obtained in the enlarged phase space ξX>107 and/or ξY>106 (corresponding to MX>4.1 GeV and/or MY>13 GeV).
